I’m going to be honest with you…I do.
Especially with everything going on from this COVID crap and all the political BS we are subjected to day in and day out.
Being a follower of Jesus I’m instructed from the Bible that “Anger never accomplishes the righteousness of God.”
To me that means blowing my top or going off on someone will do nothing positive.
But I’m human and sometimes I really blow it because I hold it inside until it explodes like a powder keg.
ANGER MANAGEMENT THROUGH EXERCISE
What I have found helps me the most is my “exercise therapy.” It serves as my “anger management.”
There is something magical about doing a good hard workout when I’m angry. When it’s done all the angst is out of me.
It cleanses me.
I remember a few years ago I had what was probably the worst financial day in the history of my business.
I was on a specific workout plan and it called for a tough lower body workout the next day.
Honestly, when I woke up the next morning I wanted to skip my workout and lay in bed feeling sorry for myself. But I got up and made myself go to the gym.
ANGER, FRUSTRATION AND WORRY SWEAT OUT OF ME!
I still remember how amazing I felt afterwards. I literally sweated the anger, frustration and worry right out of me.
My mind felt completely renewed.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve successfully used exercise as a tool to literally sweat out the anger.
