I should know because I’m one of them.
WHY ARE GUYS MASTERS OF BS?
We live in a world where we are constantly trying to “fit in” and be accepted by other guys. We compare ourselves based on how much money we make, what we do for a living, or how many toys we have. We just want to always give the impression that we have it all together.
I’m here to tell you it’s all……BS!
WHY DO WE DO IT?
I’ll tell you why.
It’s the inner struggle. Deep down, most of us are struggling but don’t want to GET REAL and admit it because we don’t want to look weak and get rejected.
Proverbs 29:18 says “Where there is no vision people perish.”
I believe a lot of us guys are “perishing” from feelings of inadequacy, overwhelm, and overthinking. And when we feel like this – there are consequences. And usually those consequences lead us down the rabbit hole of procrastination, self-doubt, and self-sabotage. Which in turn – you guessed it – leads to nothing. No meaningful action or joy in any part of our lives.
Are you there?
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUT TIME?
Take a look at what you spend your time on…
Does it light you up? Or does it drain you?
Here’s an exercise I go through when I’m struggling. I sit down without any distractions (no phone, no TV, no social media) and start writing.
WHAT IS YOUR VISION?
I write about my vision for the rest of my life. About who I want to be – not what I think society wants me to be.
I write about what I want people to say about me at my funeral.
This exercise is powerful. You see, when you discover your TRUE purpose you feel re-energized – new life breathes into you.
Try the exercise. Then reply to this email and let me know your thoughts.
And – one more thing to help you out.
I recently read a great book called Halftime: Success to Significance, by Bob Buford. It dives deeper into understanding your true purpose.
STAY TUNED! SPECIAL MEN’S EVENT IS COMING
Check this book out and stay tuned. We will be announcing a special men’s event in September. You’ll want to join us as we together, cut through the BS and start living the life we are meant for.
