I am paid to coach people and get them results.  I write programs and give them nutrition plans but many times they do not get followed.

People say things like “I should work out more” or “I wish I could find time to cook healthy meals” but hoping and wishing accomplishes nothing.

I had an eye opening conversation with a fellow small business owner this week. She stated that she just reacts to her days but never feels like she did anything meaningful, despite being busy all day.

Does this sound familiar?

The biggest reason I feel people never can seem to move forward in their lives (not just in fitness but in any area) is they have no gameplan for their lives.

Yes, they have things they want to accomplish but if you look at their day, they are not doing things to move them towards their goals and dreams.

Can you honestly look back on your day and feel like you accomplished worthwhile things?

Most people would probably answer “no” if they were honest with themselves.

I learned lot of things from playing football and coaching it.

One big thing I learned is that you need a gameplan for each game if you want to have a chance to succeed.

Without a gameplan you are just showing up and going through the motions – reacting to what the day brings.

In a football gameplan you typically have a script of plays you are going to run specifically for that oppponent.

Sometimes it works well, other times you have to make adjustments.

Life is much the same way.  Like the saying goes “if you fail to plan you plan to fail.”

Why can’t you get your workouts in?  Do you have planned times to get them in or do you just try to fit them in?  That almost never works and if you do fit it in, many times the effort and focus is lacking.

Why can’t you eat healthy?  Have you blocked out time to go to the store and get some healthy options as well as time to prep it?  Nutrition is 70-80% of your results so if you don’t put time into it, don’t expect great results.

So how do you get important things or “big rocks” accomplished?

You have to create gameplan for the weeks and days so you are actively mapping out and blocking time for important things.

I have a gameplan book I use each week where I set weekly and daily goals as well as action steps to move towards them.  I block time in my google calendar to work on these things as well as for non-negotiables like mental/spiritual time, exercise and family time.

My awesome business coach showed me how to do this and it has helped immensely in productivity – not just in my business but in my personal life as well.

So if you want to learn how to do this, watch my video here and if you want a complimentary gameplan book just reply to this email and we will set one up for you.

I am going to tell you that you need to take time to do this each week.  It takes me about an hour but it is well worth it.  I don’t always get everything done on my daily and weekly plans, but I always see progress.

I’m more focused and don’t get sidetracked as easily.

Seriously, I want that for you too and want to pay it forward by helping you get back to a life that feels like it is going somewhere not just living in the same old rut day after day week after week.

So to sum this up, success does not happen accidentally or by wishing. It comes from focused planning and persistance.  Learn from the football coaches and create a gameplan that moves you forward and reach out if you need help doing this. We are here to serve you.
