Pleasure or Purpose?
The other day a friend of mine was shocked to learn I get up at 4AM.
"How can you do that?"
One simple answer. PURPOSE over PLEASURE.
I say this because I have a clear purpose bigger than myself.
Here is my personal mission statement:
BE A CONDUIT NOT A CONTAINER
I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME.
EACH DAY COUNTS. I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY DAYS I HAVE LEFT ON THIS PLANET SO MAKE EACH ONE COUNT.
THE LORD HAS GIVEN ME TALENTS AND ABILITIES TO BLESS OTHERS AND NOT TO HOARD TO MYSELF SO I MUST FOCUS, SERVE, AND LEAD, LETTING THE LORD WORK THROUGH ME TO ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL FOR MY LIFE. THIS APPLIES TO EVERY AREA OF MY LIFE.
TO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN MUCH IS EXPECTED.
I TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY AND WANT TO RUN A GOOD RACE BECAUSE I LOVE THE LORD AND LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY I HEAR "WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT."
When I read that it reminds me my life is not all about me and pleasure. It's about serving others through my business and ministry work. I wake up each day with a purpose, whether it's coaching someone to transform their body or helping someone get to know God.
Each day has purpose.
I didn't always operate this way.
Earlier in my life it was all about pleasure. I pursued selfish things and always ended feeling empty looking for the next hit of pleasure. Whether it was chasing some hot girl or a big payout, it didn't matter. It never satisfied me.
Having done it both ways I now know a life of purpose is way better than a life of pleasure.
My mission is the reason I can get up and get after it even when it's cold, dark and snowy outside.
It's how I keep going even when I feel tired and unmotivated at times.
Now I truly believe there are two types of people. Those who live with purpose and those who live for pleasure.
Which one are you?
When you live with purpose you work on everything that supports your purpose. When you live for pleasure, you end up weak and depressed - you're always looking for the next pleasure hit, and it's never enough.
One area that supports any purpose is your health and fitness.
It's hard to live with purpose when your physical condition sucks.
Your mind might say "YES" but your body will say "NO."
I firmly believe if you are going to go "ALL IN" on purpose driven living you, need to be strong in MIND, BODY, AND SPIRIT.
The great thing about exercise is that it works on all 3 and you don't need to spend countless hours in the gym. A well designed 30-45 minute program done just 3 times a week is a GAME CHANGER.
Just hit the blue button below to set up a SUCCESS SESSION with me and let's get going on living a life of purpose.
Dedicated to your purpose,
