Come into Puravida Fitness, my personal training gym in Lakeville, and you will likely hear a lot of 80s hair bands music. I grew up with that music and love to play it.  One band in particular I enjoy is Van Halen.  In 1984 they released a song called “JUMP.”  You might remember it. It was a huge hit.

One of the chorus lines went like this:  “Might as well jump!”

It’s a pretty catchy tune.

When I think about it, a lot of people I speak with have a “might as well jump” mindset when it comes to exercise and nutrition plans.

DO YOU JUMP FROM ONE PROGRAM TO THE NEXT?

Are you one of them?

Do you want immediate gratification?  Are you of the mindset set where you “want to see results NOW”… even though your health and fitness has been neglected for months or possibly years?

Does this sound familiar?  If results aren’t achieved overnight you “jump” to another plan. And when that one doesn’t work, you keep jumping from program to program. It’s this kind of “jumping” that causes you to struggle with weight management and consistency.

That leads me to another Van Halen song called “Finish What You Started.”  Complete the mission!  Finish what you started.  Have faith. Trust the process. Commit to today!

THE ONLY THING TO QUIT IS QUITTING!

The only thing to quit is “quitting!”

This is a problem I often see with people when they try to start a health and fitness regimen.

In order to have success you need to “stick and stay” instead of running in circles chasing the next fad diet or workout program.

Success is simple.   It comes down to doing the work day after day, week after week over and over again. There are no quick fixes or short cuts despite what some of my unscrupulous colleagues will tell you.

TIRED OF JUMPING AROUND?  WE CAN HELP!
